Sowohl konzeptionell als auch formal , dieses porträt könnte leicht das ergebnis einer kreuzung zwischen den kombinierten einflüssen von corot und cézanne sein . von corot , juan gris nimmt noch einmal die pyramidenstruktur der komposition auf ; anschließend lässt er sich für die anordnung und pose der weiblichen figur von einigen porträts inspirieren, die cézanne von seiner frau gemalt hat .
